Holiday season 2017 is in full effect. Purchasing a gift for the healthcare traveler in your life may be a challenge. Since travel nurses and travel therapists are frequently on the move, we tend to live a more minimalistic lifestyle. Buying a gift for the person who does not want to accumulate stuff can be hard. Here are my suggestions for gifts for the travel therapist or travel nurse in your life:
For the traveler in your life who wants to hit all 50 states. This map allows you to scratch off each state as you travel there. A beautiful and functional reminder of how many states you visited.
Aloha bags are dry bags, which can keep moisture in or out of the bag. There are many ways to functionally use this bag. You can take the bag outside on a rainy day and put items in it to stay dry. Or, you can take it to the beach and put a wet bathing suit in it to keep the rest of your bag dry. It is also a great bag for packing cosmetics and small items while traveling.
Capturing pictures and videos is an important part of traveling. If you want to upgrade your photo quality with out the bulk of carrying around a DSLR, consider the GoPro. GoPro has high performance video and photo and shoots in RAW format in certain settings. GroPro’s are small and can fit in your pocket. They are also waterproof for up to 33 feet. You can send photos from your GoPro to your phone over Wifi/Bluetooth, which makes your photos easy to access.
Hydo Flask is more than a water bottle. It is a bottle plus refrigerator and microwave combo! Hydro Flasks keep hot liquids hot for up to 6 hours and cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours. It is a great gift to give to somebody on the go!
Packing and unpacking. The sad tale of being a traveling nurse or therapist. Packing cubes are a great way to organize clothes and accessories from move to move. They are light weight and easy to use.
When all else fails, buy a gift card! They are easy to mail and easy to store. Whether it is a Visa Gift Card for cash or to your traveler’s favorite store; gift cards are always a win!
On that note, I wish you all the happiest and best holiday 2017! 🙂
