About the Facility
Serving residents of Sunnyside and Clackamas County, this 233-bed medical center is a member of the esteemed Kaiser Permanente group and offers the same world class healthcare that patients have come to associate with its parent group. The Sunnyside Medical Center is Clackamas County’s only heart surgery facility and offers a wide range of services, including cancer treatment, dialysis, psychiatric care, and neonatal care, among others. The hospital originally opened its doors in 1975 and it has grown markedly since then, most recently seeing a $150 million expansion in 2009.
Facility Location
A suburb of Portland, Oregon’s most populous city, Clackamas offers the cultural experiences of the big city and the privacy and low cost of living of a small town. Clackamas boasts no shortage of entertainment and outdoor options within its own city limits, including an aquatic park, a wealth of campgrounds and access to the unspoiled natural beauty of Mt. Hood. Mt. Hood territory offers visitors agritourism, winery and farm tours, as well as extensive camping and hiking options. Clackamas is truly Pacific Northwest living at its finest.
