Lumen Field is located in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood. Sitting between the Puget Sound waterfront and Pioneer Square, it’s nestled right in the middle of Seattle.
In June and July 2026, Lumen Field will host several FIFA World Cup games, attracting travelers from around the world.
Lumen Field is accessible by driving and public transportation, and is within walking distance of several hotels. Multiple bus stops, the Lightrail, and Ferry Terminals are within walking distance of the stadium.

As Lumen Field sits right next to Pioneer Square, most of the hotels on this list are located in that neighborhood. So let’s do a quick rundown of Pioneer Square.
Pioneer Square is one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods. It has a vintage feel, with Romanesque Revival-style architecture and a brick building with cast-iron finishes.
It’s home to the Seattle Underground, as well as many trendy coffee shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
In comparison to other neighborhoods in Seattle, Pioneer Square tends to have more unhoused people, crime, and public drug use on the streets. As you would in any major city, be mindful and vigilant when walking the streets, especially at night. I’ve spent a ton of time walking through the galleries and eating in Pioneer Square and do enjoy this neighborhood
If this doesn’t sound like a fit for you, I recommend staying further north on the waterfront.
I’ll start by sharing some iconic Seattle hotels revered for their luxury experiences, then share some hotel stays closer to Lumen Field.
Luxury Hotel Stays A Drive From Lumen Field
If you’re traveling to Seattle and seeking a luxury stay, the more stylish, elevated hotels are a bit further away from Lumen.
You can technically still walk to the stadium, although these hotels are over a mile away via city streets and may have a steeper incline. Most likely, you will want to grab a taxi/Uber from these hotels.
However, if you want a more lavish hotel experience in Seattle, closer to more of the city’s activities, these are the places I recommend.
The Edgewater
The Edgewater is an iconic, award-winning Seattle institution, the only hotel that sits over the water. It has beautiful views of the waterfront and the Olympic Mountains.
It’s a 1.6-mile walk from Lumen Field, which is likely out of walking distance for many, but a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the beauty of Seattle.
The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons Seattle is another waterfront property that serves as an oasis for luxury city retreats.
This sits a mile away from Lumen Field and involves walking up/down a small incline.
Fairmont Olympic Hotel
The Fairmont Olympic is a landmark waterfront Seattle hotel bringing modern luxury to your stay. A 1.1-mile walk from Lumen Field and in the heart of all things Seattle.
The Kimpton Palladian
The Kimpton Palladian is a trendy boutique hotel in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. It’s in the hub of Seattle and a 1.3-mile walk from Lumen Field.
Hotels Near Lumen Field
If you don’t want to deal with a commute to Lumen Field, here are some hotels within a reasonable distance to walk to the stadium.
They fall within the above-mentioned Pioneer Square area of Seattle. The walk between these hotels and the stadium is relatively flat.
Silver Cloud Hotel- Seattle Stadium
The Silver Cloud Hotel is adjacent to Lumen Field, making it the perfect place to stay if you want to be within 5 minutes of the stadium.
At the Silver Cloud, you are close to the stadium, and there’s an on-site restaurant and bar.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Downtown Pioneer Square
Embassy Suites in Pioneer Square is another option next to Lumen Field, right adjacent to the north stadium lot, and within a 5-10-minute walk.
This hotel stay includes many amenities, such as complimentary breakfast and evening receptions, a pool, and a fitness center.
Populus Hotel
Populus Hotel is another option for a hotel stay within a 5-10-minute walk of the stadium and close to the waterfront. This hotel is renowned for its lush indoor gardens, modern design, and rooftop terrace.
Best Western Plus Pioneer Square Hotel
Best Western Plus in Pioneer Square, along Yesler Way, is a half-mile from the stadium, a 10 to 15-minute walk, and close to the waterfront and walkable to Pike Place. Your stay also includes a complimentary continental breakfast.
CitizenM Seattle Pioneer Square
CitizenM Pioneer Square is another Pioneer Square hotel, about a 0.6-mile walk or 10 to 15-ish minutes from Lumen Field. This hotel has a more modern, urban feel.
Courtyard By Marriott Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square
The Courtyard by Marriott is a bit further away from the stadium at 0.6 miles and requires walking up/down a gentle hill.

If you’re looking for a hotel near Lumen Field, there are multiple options within a 10-15 minute walking distance.
If you want a more elevated experience, hotels like The Edgewater and The Four Seasons are a quick drive away via Uber/Lyft/Taxi and are more connected to the rest of the city.
